INTRODUCTION

 

Hello, my name is Diana Henneman and I am a graphic design student at Cal State University East Bay. I am conducting research for a project I am working on for the current term. 

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

 

  • Generation X individuals born between 1975 and 1980, aged 41 - 46 years.

  • Generation Z individuals born between 1996 and 2001, aged 20 - 25 years.

  • Believes the impacts of climate change are very real and conditions will only continue to worsen for future generations. 

  • Currently resides in a location that has endured or is projected to endure the devastating effects of climate change.

  • Working professionals with young families who self-identify as resourceful, independent and liberal on social issues.

  • Pragmatic views on the state of the economy, climate change and self-identifies as upper middle class, upper class or high upper class.

  • A perceptive “Tech Savy” male or female who has a clear understanding of the role technology plays in transforming modern life.

 

GUIDED RESEARCH QUESTIONS

 

  1. Do you believe the impacts of climate change are real?

  2. Are you anxious about how the effects of climate change will impact future generations?

  3. Have you ever spoken with friends and/or family about the impacts of climate change? If so, how recent did these conversations take place?

  4. Are you motivated to learn more about how climate change will impact the area you currently live in?

  5. How has climate change affected the area you currently live in? e.g Drought, wildfires, air quality, flooding, extreme weather and temperatures.

  6. Are you anxious about how the impact of climate change will affect the area you currently live in within the next decade? If so, in the past 60 days, how often have you given thought to this concern?

  7. Are you aware that climate change will affect parts of the country differently within the next several decades? If so, have you ever given thought to relocating to a different location that could potentially offer you a better quality of life in the crisis of climate change?
